Meet Your Instructor - Cathy Walker

Cathy is a physiotherapist turned educator with over 11 years of experience working with hypermobile clients.

Growing up as a competitive dancer, Cathy always thought that having a lot of movement to her joints was “normal.” However, after years of struggling with injuries it wasn’t until after having her son that she decided to investigate further. With researching connective tissue disorders and applying the principles she was learning in the research, most of the symptoms she had been struggling with were improving.

Cathy started reading more hypermobility books, research, and taking courses but often they lacked a practical compentent of what to do in clinic. That is why Cathy strives to inform clinicians how to treat hypermobility practically with techniques you can try right away.

Did you know?!

The truth is that every movement professional is encountering hypermobile people. The unfortunate part is our schooling is just not adequate to provide safe and effective treatment for this population. My goal is to educate the healthcare community so that a hypermobile person can find someone within their city. Do you want to be part of the change? Let’s do this!

You ready to do this?
